As part of efforts to ensure that only regulated products are in circulation in the country, contraband products worth N50 million will be destroyed by the National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), in Gombe State.

Mr Abdulsalam Ozigis, Gombe State Coordinator of the Agency, said the products included fake and expired drugs, food and cosmetics, warning that the Agency would not hesitate to close down any premises found selling fake drugs and other substandard products, as well as prosecute such dealers.
