PSM and Doctors Company Team Up to Tell Doctors About Safe Medication Sourcing

Every healthcare professional who purchases medication is familiar with faxes from persistent direct sales companies that inundate the office with daily price lists. PSM board member Tom Kubic has written an article with The Doctors Company that explains to doctors that non-FDA approved drug importation poses a real threat to their patients. Kubic states, “Every healthcare professional who purchases medication is familiar with faxes from persistent direct sales companies that inundate the office with daily price lists. Regardless of the supplier, purchasing or using non-FDA-approved drug products exposes the physician to criminal and civil liability. The medication doesn’t even have to be counterfeit for the physician to suffer legal consequences.” In teaming up with The Doctors Company, PSM aims to educate doctors on the danger that counterfeit drugs and devices pose to both their patients and their practice.
