India seeks US intervention in Ranbaxy fraud trial

India is seeking the intervention of the US government in the Ranbaxy case, where the company is being investigated for submitting allegedly fabricated data for its generics to the FDA, among other charges.

India's chemicals and fertiliser minister, Ram Vilas Paswan, has urged the US to resolve the issue in a letter to the secretary of the US department of health and human services, Michael Leavitt.
