Price, quality checks initiated on Ho Chi Minh City medicines

Vietnamese health inspectors, market regulators, customs officials and police began joint inspections Monday on pharmaceuticals in Ho Chi Minh City to eliminate fake drugs and arbitrary price hikes.

The inspections are expected to last for the next 10 days, focusing on price quotations and invoices.
Enterprises will be punished severely if found without proper invoicing for drugs, sales at higher than quoted prices or counterfeit products.
