Legal drug imports proposed in U.S.

WASHINGTON — U.S. legislators introduced two bills yesterday to legalize prescription drug imports from Canada amid a Senate hearing on the risks and benefits of the cross-border trade. Eight U.S. representatives and senators, including five Republicans, are backing legislation in the House of Representatives. Another bill in the Senate is supported by five Republicans.
