Hong Kong's police seized 4,000 units of blood products bearing false registration numbers in a raid in New Territories that uncovered fake drugs made under seven pharmaceutical brands, the Department of Health said.

Human immunoglobulin, used to treat certain viral infections, and human albumin solution, used to replace blood plasma, were among drugs bearing fake labels with bogus or no registration number, the department said in a statement yesterday. Painkillers and cream for skin infections were also seized during a joint operation by police and health officials at a premises in Tsuen Wan yesterday, it said.
