Every day, inspectors from Customs and Border Protection, the Food and Drug Administration, and the Drug Enforcement Administration intercept scary medical products  entering the U.S.

This work is incredibly important to protect the safety of American patients and it's difficult because criminals never stop innovating.

PSM supports the work of border inspectors by commenting on proposed rules, advocating for increased funding, and calling  for improvements whenever we see places where improvements can be made.

(Feb. 20, 2025) – The Partnership for Safe Medicines today released a new report that found suspicious, unauthorized, and illegal ingredients for popular diabetes and obesity injectables (commonly known as weight loss drugs) are flooding into the U.S. from foreign sources despite U.S. laws forbidding them from coming through the border.
