Colorado pharmacy indicted for illegal importation
A federal grand jury has indicted the owner and a sales representative at College Pharmacy, a Colorado Springs-based pharmacy, for the illegal importation and distribution of human growth hormone (HGH). According to the indictment, the defendants allegedly bought, received, and distributed HGH from companies that manufacture genetically derived HGH in China, including GeneScience. Pharmacist Thomas Bader, who owned and operated the pharmacy, and Kevin Henry, a College Pharmacy sales representative, were arrested last week by agents of the FDA, Immigration & Customs Enforcement, DEA, and FBI. Also charged was Bradley Blum, a sales representative for a company facilitating the illegal importation.
