PSM Executive Director To Speak at Pharmacy Conference

Scott LaGanga, Executive Director of the Partnership for Safe Medicines, will address pharmaceutical scientists from industry, government, academia, and others on the topic of counterfeiting and patient safety on August 18, 2011 at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Pharmacy conference entitled, “The Role of CMC Quality in Ensuring Patient Safety: From Development through Commercialization.”

The conference, developed and conducted by Extension Service in Pharmacy of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, will be held on August 17-18th, 2011 at the Washington DC/Rockville Hilton, in Rockville, MD and is focused on the continuing education of CMC quality scientists, regulatory personnel, technical managers and others who work in the field of quality through all phases of development and marketing.

Along with LaGanga, Dr. Janet Woodcock, Director of the FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, Dr. Roger L. Williams, CEO of the United States Pharmacoepial Convention, other FDA officials, and representatives of pharmaceutical companies will be speaking.
