Huge quantity of expired medicines destroyed


JALALABAD, June 27 (Pajhwok Afghan News): The provincial government has destroyed about two tons of expired medicines in this provincial capital of the eastern Nangarhar province on Tuesday.

Officials of the provincial health department said 68 different types of medicines were either seized by the authorities during raids on medical stores or handed over to them by NGOs for being expired.
The officials said several medical stores had been sealed from three to 10 days as fine for keeping and selling the expired stuff.
