Incidence of fake drugs drops by 24.3 percent in Nigeria: study


ncidence of fake drugs has dropped by 24.3 percent in the past five years, according to a study on counterfeit and substandard medicines in the country released on Friday.

At the ceremony the study was released in the capital Abuja, NAFDAC Director General Dora Akunyili said, "overall, counterfeit drugs in circulation have dropped from an average of 41 percent in 2001 to 16.7 percent in 2006."
