Islamabad flood affected given expired drugs


Bijbehara, Sep 11: The soil is still damp and walls of residential houses moist in Gundi Nawroz area of Bijbehara, a week after the floodwater receded from the marooned area.

The people are slowly returning to their houses after the surging water level in Jhelum and Lidder river forced them to migrate to safer places due to floods last week. "The ground floors of all the 50 houses in the area were submerged due to floodwaters and ours is the only house which got collapsed due to rising water," Raja wife of Ghulam Nabi Dar while looking at her damaged two-storey home told Greater Kashmir.
