Nigeria: NAFDAC Impounds N10m Fake Drugs in Lagos


National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC), yesterday announced the seizure of six consignments of fake pharmaceutical products valued at N10 million imported through Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja.

Addressing newsmen yesterday in Lagos at NAFDAC Office, Oshodi, NAFDAC Director of Inspectorate, Mrs. Chinyere Ukaegbu, said the fake drugs included Visine Eye drops, Artesunate malaria drugs, Halfan malaria drugs and Ampiclox Capsules (an antibiotic).
