Fake drugs racket: Raids continue, network goes wider
BALANGIR: The raids and subsequent arrest of Shankar Agrawala, the alleged kingpin and owner of the fake medicine factory in Kantabanji, have only revealed part of a vicious network.
On a tip-off, Balangir and Kantabanji police raided the medicine manufacturing unit on Friay and found fake medicines worth over Rs one crore. Balangir SP Himansu Lal said raids were continuing in several other places including Sonepur.
In Patnagarh, police seized fake medicines worth Rs 25 lakh from a doctor s house on Saturday.
