Liberia: Four Nigerians in Court for Counterfeits


Four Nigerians have been charged for allegedly committing forgery after they were arrested by state security with over US$ 5,000 counterfeit in Monrovia.
The four Nigerians, Ikene Agu, Kingsley Obinnaya Ekweke, Uchechuwu Akwaja and. Agbazuluakwu were picked up on separate dates by state security after gathering information surrounding their activities.

According to the court record, one of the defendants, Ikene Agu was arrested on Thursday, October 11, 2007 on the Front Street after state security was informed that the defendant was allegedly involved in forgery, a crime which accordingly is in violation of section 15.70 of the new penal code of Liberia.
