PSM gives testimony in opposition to a Colorado bill to permit alternative funding programs

February 17, 2026

On February 17, PSM submitted written and oral testimony in opposition to Colorado HB26-1056, "The Prescription Drug Optimized Sourcing Transparency and Integrity Act", which was being heard by the state's House Health and Human Services Committee. HB26-1056 would permit self-insured employers to use "pharmacy stewardship programs," otherwise known as alternative funding programs, to import foreign medicines from outside the U.S. drug supply chain while prohibiting patient advocates and health benefits professionals from advising patients about the risks of these programs.
