Scranton Theft: $100,000 of Prescription Medications

Three people have been hit with charges related to the burglary of a pharmacy in Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania, according to the Scranton Times-Tribune.

Reddon’s Pharmacy was robbed on October 29 by Darryl Chaffee, 36, and Jerrod Decker, 24, who stole up to $100,000 worth of prescription medications.

Chaffee and Decker have been charged with felony theft, conspiracy and receiving stolen property as well as several charges related to controlled substances.

Annie Chaffee also faces controlled substances charges and a charge of receiving stolen property.

Two of the three suspects have been apprehended by the authorities. Darryl Chaffee is currently being held at the Broome County Jail in Binghamton, New York, while Annie Chaffee is being held at the Susquehanna County Correctional Facility for a probation violation. Jerrod Decker has yet to be captured and has been declared wanted by the office of the Susquehanna County district attorney.

The ongoing investigation has recovered between 5,000 and 7,000 of the stolen pills, but there are still pills that have yet to be accounted for.
