Argentinian Federal Judges Continue Counterfeit Medicine Investigation

Argentinian authorities are continuing their two year investigation into the fake drug syndicate that infiltrated the Argentinian workers’ unions.

In the ongoing union-based fake drug conspiracy case, Federal Judge Norbert Oyarbide has summoned the bank clerks’ union leader Juan Jose Zanola to court on March 10th for questioning.

Argentinian authorities are continuing their two year investigation into the fake drug syndicate that infiltrated the Argentinian workers’ unions.  Judge Oyarbide has previously ordered raids of the multiple employment unions.  Police have collected evidence on the purchase and distribution of drugs and have implicated several Buenos Aires businessmen, some of which have been murdered.

Counterfeit cancer medications, hemophilia drugs and HIV medications have been found at the union pharmacies.  Most Argentinians receive pharmaceutical and medical care through their employment unions.  The extensive counterfeit distribution ring has caused major furor amongst Argentinians.

In addition to Mr. Zonola, former Buenos Aires Province Health Minister Claudio Zin, will be questioned on February 8, Susana Fionna former Bank Clerk Union health clinic vice-director, on March 17, Alejandra Estoup, Sec. General de Seccional Buenos Aires, on March 22, Carlos Irrera, Prosec. de Acción Gremial, on March 24 and Sergio Palazzo, the Union’s Assistant Secretary, on the 31st, reports the Buenos Aires Herald.
